We said goodbye today to the original site design by Patrick Henry of Patrick Henry | Landscape Architects as he cleared out the mounds and trees to make way for his exciting new designs for the ReSurfaced Bourbon Edition in June. The mounds held up extraordinarily well over the winter and were actually a lot more work to deconstruct that we had imagined. The blue and peach colored trees will be saved for possible future ReSurfaced projects in other spaces if time doesn't take its toll.

Though we don't want to reveal too much about the new designs yet, we can say that the concept of the new space will include live trees. There will also be an opportunity for groups or individuals to purchase the live trees after the event to be planted in the city and help to reforest our urban tree canopy. More information on that after opening day on June 4th!
